Blended Learning Mode
The blended learning model allows students to complete this master’s degree fully online, with the exception of the laboratory practicals for the mandatory modules in the first semester.
Specifications
The master’s program offers 10 of its places in this mode. To be eligible, you must be registered as a resident more than 80 km from the city of A Coruña or have a full-time paid job.
The subjects in the mandatory modules include in-person laboratory practicals, which are concentrated over a period of three to four weeks during the months of November and December. Detailed information can be found in the master’s academic calendar.
Elective Subject Offerings
In the second semester, electives are offered with both in-person and online practicals so that students can tailor the electives to their particular interests and needs.
Blended Learning Master's Thesis (TFM)
The thesis can be carried out within one of the research groups participating in the master’s program through an intensive 3-week in-person stay (120 hours) to complete the experimental part. It can also be conducted in research groups (from public or private entities) in the student’s area of residence, provided they accept the student and propose a training project. This mode always involves co-supervision by one of the master’s professors.
The public defense of the TFM may be carried out in person or via videoconference.
