External internships contribute to your training as a student, preparing you for your future professional integration by providing access to the techniques, protocols, skills, and attitudes necessary for your training and professional development. In our master’s program, the external internship course is optional and carries six credits.

Documentation associated with the processing of PEX
Social Security registration
All students undertaking external internships must complete the Social Security registration form 20 days before starting their internship. To complete the form, you will need a Social Security number (NSS) (whether you are Spanish or a foreigner).
Below you’ll find a link to the Ministry’s instructions on how to obtain your Social Security Number (SSN) if you don’t already have one, and another link to the country codes for question 14 (Spain = 724).
It is VERY IMPORTANT to be precise (start date, end date, days worked per month). “Days” refers to DAYS, regardless of the number of hours worked per day.
Evaluation of PEX: Reports and other documentation
The company report describes the criteria and performance levels required for evaluating the tasks performed by students at the company or institution. The submitted written report is assessed by the academic advisors. The evaluation criteria are detailed in the course syllabus.
